Occupational Therapist School-Based | Wilmington, DE | Contract, Full-Time
An onsite, school-based Occupational Therapist (OT) is needed to support an elementary school environment in Wilmington, Delaware. This role focuses on providing specialized OT services to students within Early Years and elementary school programs. The ideal candidate will hold an active Delaware OT license and possess school-based occupational therapy experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized occupational therapy services to students in Early Years and elementary settings
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student development
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and document progress according to school guidelines
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet diverse student needs within the school environment
- Attend team meetings and participate in continuous professional development
Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and active Delaware Occupational Therapy license (snapshot required with application)
- Proven experience in school-based occupational therapy, preferably working with Early Years and elementary-aged students
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with school personnel and families
- Ability to manage a full-time schedule onsite, Monday through Friday (position variations include full early years program or split days between early years and elementary)
- Reliable transportation and willingness to commute to Wilmington, DE
Schedule & Duration:
- Contract-based assignment from ASAP through June 12, 2026
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week, typically 8:45 AM 4:15 PM
- Two positions available: one full-time early years, and one split early years/elementary
